This Christmas, much to Jona's dismay, we decided to break out the yard decorations. And let me tell you, these aren't just any yard decorations, these are vintage. My parents made these - cut them, painted them, blood, sweat and tears - years and years ago. They are almost as old as my younger brother, so about 20 something years old. When Joey (my brother) and I were younger, we played for hours in the yard at night in front of these characters. We pretended that we were in the spotlights, doing gymnastics, using Chip and Dale as a hurdle, peeking in between Mickey and Minnie, even posing like the characters themselves. We had so much fun. So, we thought we would continue the fun for Cadyn. And dad was so excited to bring them over - I'm sure it had nothing to do with Jona's opposition to having them in the first place. :)
So here they are in all their glory!

The first day I attempted to put them out, the weather was extremely cold and the ground was pretty hard. Cadyn was all bundled up with her trusty hammer and helped me set them up. Such a helper she is! And of course, we sang the "Hot Dog" song the entire time. (For those of you unfamiliar with the "Hot Dog" song, check out Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. But beware, once it's in your head, you won't be able to get it out!)

Here are few other random pictures of Cadyn - as I attempted to find the perfect Christmas card pic.
